A very special holiday experience – The 1. FCN Football Camp in Dittenheim
“If we don’t support the youth, no bright minds will grow up.” – this guiding principle of Joachim Baumann remains a mission that we actively live by.
In Dittenheim, through the Joachim Baumann Foundation, we once again had the opportunity to give young people a special experience: during the summer holidays, 96 children and teenagers trained for three exciting days at the FV Dittenheim sports grounds – under the guidance of eight professional coaches from the 1. FCN Football School.
Whether beginner or aspiring young pro, girl or boy: everyone had the chance to learn new tricks in age- and skill-appropriate groups, try out different game formats, take part in exciting competitions, and most importantly – have a lot of fun. Team spirit, activity, and fairness were just as central as the shared passion for football.
The camp was not only organized at the highest sporting level, but it also gave the kids a genuine “Club feeling”: equipped with the official 1. FCN jersey, shorts, socks, and water bottle, they felt like real professionals – and many of them even became true fans of the traditional club through this experience.
Thanks to our financial contribution, participation fees for families were cut in half. For us, it is a heartfelt matter to make access to sports and community life possible for as many children as possible.
The response was overwhelming: more than 100 registrations were received – but unfortunately, only 96 children could participate. “Maybe we’ll be able to host the football camp again in 2026,” hoped Wolfgang Müller, chairman of FV Dittenheim. The club’s great efforts in organization, catering, and supervision were praised equally by both coaches and parents and made the camp a complete success.
For us, one thing is clear: supporting young people means supporting the future. Values such as team spirit, fairness, enthusiasm, and perseverance, which are taught through sports, stay with children for life. That is why we are proud to make such experiences possible and will continue to live up to our responsibility of supporting young people in their development.
