Nearly 400 Signatures Against the Plastic Tax
Handed Over to MP Johannes Wagner in Coburg
Managing Director André Baumann handed over nearly 400 signatures opposing the proposed plastic tax to Green Party Member of the Bundestag Johannes Wagner. These signatures reflect the widespread opposition to the planned tax and highlight the public relevance of the issue.
Despite the fact that plans for the plastic tax have been postponed until 2025, the exchange between Mr. Wagner and André Baumann was highly productive and respectful. The open dialogue allowed for a range of perspectives to be explored and gave space for an in-depth discussion of our industry’s concerns. We clearly conveyed our belief that plastic film and sustainability can go hand in hand. Our creative contribution, in the form of custom-designed beer coasters, added to the positive atmosphere and underlined our message.
We are especially pleased by Mr. Wagner’s announcement that he will visit us in the near future to see firsthand the innovative and sustainable film solutions developed by Verpa GmbH. We look forward to presenting our progress and demonstrating how we continue to develop our products to meet the highest sustainability standards.
Our mission is to make a positive impact on both the industry and the environment through continuous innovation and a strong commitment to sustainability. We will continue to actively promote sustainable and economically viable solutions to ensure the long-term viability of our industry.
