Joachim Baumann Foundation

What’s wrong with doing something good, even when no one is watching?

It is with great pride and deep gratitude that I, André Baumann, have established the Verpalin Joachim Baumann Foundation – a tribute to my father, Joachim Baumann, who was not only the founder of the Verpa Group and inventor of Verpalin film, but also a man admired for his vision, his passion and his humanity.

Joachim was a visionary, a pioneer, a doer… and always a human being.

What began as a small idea, he developed into a successful company that today offers jobs and prospects to over 600 people. But despite all his entrepreneurial successes, he was above all one thing: a person with heart.

He always remained down-to-earth, always had a listening ear, and was there for his employees as well as for all those who needed support outside the company. This humanity has accompanied and inspired me throughout my life – and it is precisely these values that I want to carry into the future with the foundation.

For society and our environment

My father was passionate about helping others. It was a matter close to his heart to promote social and ecological projects, help people in need, and protect our environment. Whether through supporting sports clubs and youth sports, promoting nature conservation projects, or providing direct assistance to people in difficult life situations – his commitment was diverse and characterized by genuine conviction.

With the Verpalin Joachim Baumann Foundation, I would like to continue this commitment while keeping my father’s memory alive. The foundation is intended to be a driving force for sustainable ideas, social projects, and volunteer work. It is my way of carrying on my father’s values and legacy.

Making a difference together
