Motivation Day “Vocational Education – A Future for Everyone!”
Verpa Inspires Young People to Explore Technical Careers
On May 20, 2026, the Stadthalle Gunzenhausen became a hub for career inspiration and future opportunities. During the Motivation Day “Vocational Education – A Future for Everyone!”, around 500 students from ten schools across the region explored vocational training programs and career pathways. The event, initiated by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, was organized by SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Bayern together with the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen network and is one of the largest career orientation events in the district.
Alongside an engaging stage program featuring State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt and motivational speaker Steffen Kirchner, the practical hands-on competency stations hosted by regional companies were the main attraction. Nearly 40 employers from the region gave young people the opportunity to discover professions, try out practical tasks and connect directly with industry professionals.
Experiencing Technology First-Hand
Verpa Folie Gunzenhausen also participated with its own competency station, offering visitors exciting insights into technical apprenticeship opportunities. Guided by our employees, students were able to actively participate and experience typical tasks from everyday working life.
The activities at our station included:
- Thread cutting in metalworking
- Assembly of electrical circuits and connectors
- Performing measurements on manufactured components
The students showed great enthusiasm and impressive skills while completing the practical tasks. Direct interaction with our apprentices and employees provided an authentic insight into the diverse career opportunities available at Verpa.
Vocational Education as the Key to the Future
The aim of the Motivation Day was to highlight the opportunities offered by vocational education and support young people in their career orientation. Practical experience plays a crucial role in this process. By experiencing professions first-hand, students can better identify their strengths and make informed decisions about their future careers.
As an innovative family-owned company with strong regional roots, Verpa has been committed to supporting young talent for many years. Training qualified professionals is an essential pillar of sustainable growth, innovation and the long-term success of our company.
Motivation, Exchange and New Perspectives
One of the highlights of the event was the motivational presentations by Steffen Kirchner. His keynote speech, “There Are No Unmotivated People!”, inspired not only the students attending during the day but also parents, teachers and guests at the evening event. His core message was clear: motivation emerges when people are encouraged, understood and valued.
The Motivation Day once again demonstrated how important cooperation between schools, businesses and institutions is for securing the skilled workforce of the future. We would like to thank the organizers, participating schools and all students for their strong interest and the many inspiring conversations.
Shaping the Future Together
At Verpa, innovation, sustainability and a family-oriented corporate culture are at the heart of everything we do. That is why we consciously invest in the skilled professionals of tomorrow and strive to provide young people with opportunities in a modern, sustainable and future-focused industry.
The Motivation Day “Vocational Education – A Future for Everyone!” once again highlighted the importance of early career orientation and the tremendous potential of the young talents in our region.
