Financial support: A bus for the Coburg district
Mobility is a key prerequisite for social participation – especially in rural areas. We are therefore all the more pleased that, as the Joachim Baumann Foundation, we were able to take on part of the sponsorship for a new bus in the Coburg district.
This project was made possible by the commitment of around 30 regional companies that jointly took responsibility. At the presentation of the bus, District Administrator Sebastian Straubel repeatedly emphasized how important this support from the regional economy is – particularly against the backdrop of a challenging financial situation for local authorities. At the same time, it became clear that such buses are essential, are used intensively, and make an important contribution to people in the region.
In the future, the new bus will be used primarily for municipal youth work and senior citizen services in the district, providing mobility exactly where it is most important for participation, social interaction, and support.
For us, this commitment reflects what the foundation stands for: strengthening communities, supporting regional structures, and providing help where it has a tangible impact. The fact that business, politics, and society are working together here is a strong sign for the region.
