On March 26 and 27, the Corpac Innovation Days 2025 took place at the Verpa Innovation Center in Weidhausen – two days full of professional exchange, innovative approaches, and collaborative partnership. The event was a strong example of how valuable close dialogue within our packaging family is – and how much potential lies in combined expertise.

Innovation, Challenges, and Practical Solutions
The two-day Innovation Days in our innovation workshop provided a platform for intensive exchange and creative collaboration. The focus was not only on the latest developments in the field of corrosion protection but also on the challenges arising from the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Together with invited customers, individual issues were thoroughly analyzed, practical solutions were developed, and long-term, future-oriented strategies were elaborated.
Research Meets Practice
A central theme of the event was the integration of recyclates into corrosion protection packaging, as required by the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Together with the experts from Corpac, our development specialists provided valuable insights into ongoing research and development projects. Dr. Philipp Knauer presented a research series initiated in collaboration with Verpa, examining the interaction between VCI substances and recyclates – a crucial factor for developing future-proof and sustainable corrosion protection packaging that meets the requirements of the PPWR.
More Than Just Expertise
Alongside the intensive professional exchange, there was also plenty of room for personal interaction. A varied supporting program, excellent food, and many engaging conversations rounded off the event.
